“I paint my own reality. The only thing I know is that I paint because I need to, and I paint whatever passes through my head without any other consideration.”
― Frida Kahlo
Gallery Azul is a small gallery with big talent. We host themed group art shows as well as solo artists. It started out as the art studio of Ray Vasquez and Cora Ramirez-Vasquez but has evolved in since its inception in 2006.
To use art to educate the community on cultural, historical events that impact us all. Gallery Azul opened its doors on November 2nd, 2006 with a group show in honor of the years old Mexican celebration of life “Dia de Los Muertos” (Day of the Dead). Additionally, we have had women themed shows for Women’s heritage, and this year we had Teacher as Artist-Artist as Teacher for teacher appreciation month.
Gallery Azul is committed to finding high quality, collectible, cultural, and conceptual art to add to the San Pedro Art scene, to offer to art collectors, and interior designers. If you are looking for culture, color, and movement this is the gallery for you.
To provide a venue and platform for working, emerging, artists to collaborate, and showcase contemporary and cultural artworks. The artists we exhibit are working artists, that exhibit throughout California.
